XY Cæstello is a creative explorer on a journey through the dynamic landscapes of art & life, culture & identity.
Born in Athens, sharpened in London's vibrant scene, and now calling San Francisco home, with inspiration still drawn from Berlin’s avant-garde spirit — each place shaping the personality behind XY Cæstello.
With a background in graphic design and fine arts studies at UAL London, I've honed my craft with an eye for aesthetics and a heart for storytelling. Exhibitions in Athens, London, and Berlin — both solo and group showcases — delve into the intersections of queer identity, memory, and capitalism, often questioning how personal narratives intersect with broader societal forces.
Working fluidly across media — photography, painting, illustration, and digital art — my practice moves between observation and intervention, often blurring the lines between fiction and lived experience. Whether documenting street life, crafting symbolic portraits, or building digital compositions, I use visual storytelling to challenge constructs around queerness, culture, and systems of power.
My journey is ongoing. I'm passionate about connecting and collaborating with other creatives & artists, sharing ideas and working together to bring visions to life.
Currently working independently and in collaboration, my focus is on expanding this practice into editorial, exhibition, and publishing contexts.
